Karen Cruise
Country/Folk Singer Songwriter
Karen Cruise is a musician located in Vanderhoof, British Columbia. She is currently touring festivals, Farmer's Markets, and events around her province of British Columbia. She's been nominated by the BC Country Music Association for Roots Artist of the Year, and in 2025 she was nominated for Best Entertainer of the Year for the summer of 2024 by the BC Farmer's Market Association.
Karen has been singing and songwriting most of her life. She has recorded albums in Vancouver, BC and Nashville, TN. She has over 60 original works registered with SOCAN that she receives royalties on from around the world.
Karen has a warm charismatic personality that comes across in her live performances. Whether it's singing at an outdoor market , festival, or seniors home, Karen delivers a feeling of positivity and happiness to her audience. She is a strong supporter of her community and hosted a benefit concert featuring rockabilly star Wanda Jackson to raise money for the local food bank. She is a regular performer at senior centers in her area, and performs monthly at the Prince George Legion.

Mission Statement: Karen's mission is to preserve the songs of traditional country music, and sing them in the traditional style of the country greats. Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and so many others are some of the greats she showcases. While keeping true to her foundation in traditional country music, she will include some classic soft rock and folk songs from the 50's, 60's, and '70 to deepen her repertoire.
